ABOUT FIDDLESTICKS FIELD

Located 25 minutes West of Downtown Rochester and just 5 minutes off I90, Fiddlesticks Field  is a 50 acre, family-friendly facility for all manner of equestrians.

Dubbed the “Pony Playground” by the Genesee Valley Pony Club, Trainers and Amateurs alike are encouraged to haul-in to enjoy an open atmosphere that invites horses and riders to stretch their legs inside and outside the rings.

With safety being the primary goal, our fully fenced facilities are constantly updated with rider accessibility in mind. We aim to provide an environment that encourages you to get more comfortable off your home property and try new things with your horses.

We have hunters doing trail obstacles, western pleasure riders going over their first jumps, drivers whizzing around the track and eventers learning the barrel pattern. In the summer months you will likely see young people “racing” around the track, giggling all the way.

ABOUT THE OWNER

Owner of Fiddlesticks Field Meredith Lewis riding her percheron horse Ridge

Meredith is an amateur horse-person with a background and full time job in education. After spending some formative years at Camp Wyomoco, she got her real start with horses at age 25 with her 18.1h Honey Locust Farm Percheron “Ridge.”  They have been all over the country competing in Dressage, Competitive Trail and even finished a Beginner Novice run at The Event at Woodside. Meredith loves learning new things and helping others feel confident with their horses. She lives on site with her two dogs Derby and Rio an assortment of personal horses and is often fostering all kinds of puppies during the summer months (make sure you ask about adoption). Her dad Tom is responsible for all the mowing and her Mom, Margi is the head landscaper who also  paints all the jumps and blue doors. If you see either of them out and about while you are here, be sure to say hello!
